Mumbai: In yet another case of crime against women, two girls from Delhi were allegedly gangraped by five men in north Goa.
The women, aged between 25-30 years and their taxi driver Abhijit Kochrekar were allegedly taken to a lonely resort in the popular beach village of Calangute by the five men, where they were beaten up and gang raped repeatedly.
The incident took place on Tuesday when the accused posed as policemen and locked them up in a resort in Calangute. They also allegedly demanded Rs 1.50 lakh from the two girls.
After the medical report came on Wednesday, gangrape charge was added and all five accused have been arrested. "We have added rape charges after medical examination," Deputy Superintendent of Police Mahesh Gaonkar said.
