Government to consider drawing teachers demands

BANGALORE: The government will sympathetically consider all demands of the Drawing Teachers Association, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Vishwe-shwar Hegde Kageri said. “I will hold a meeting with the officials shortly to decide about the demands of the drawing teachers. As some of the demands have financial obligation, I need to discuss with the finance department officials also. But I will look into the demands positively,” Kageri stated in a press release, issued here on Wednesday. Among other demands, the association has urged the government to make Drawing a compulsory subject starting from primary school, and recruit teachers. “We also want the government to constitute a high-level committee consisting of educationists, members of the drawing teachers association and officials to look into our demands,” a press release from association release stated.
