Hearing on Umesh Kumar case posted to March 30

HYDERABAD: The Nampally court on Monday posted the hearings on a forgery case involving senior IPS officer Umesh Kumar, to March 30. The Andhra Pradesh High Court had earlier dismissed a petition filed by Umesh Kumar seeking quashing of the case against him.The CID had filed a charge sheet in Nampally court stating that Sunil Reddy, a consultant of Sri City had forged the signature on the letterhead of Rajya Sabha MP MA Khan, allegedly at the behest of Umesh Kumar.The issue came to light after a purported letter from the MP reached the Union home ministry.
