The inaugural match shall be played between Chhattisgarh and Arunachal Pradesh in Pool C on September 23.

New Delhi: Defending champion Haryana has been drawn in Group A along with Maharashtra, Puducherry, Bengal and Bhopal in the second edition of the Hockey India Senior Men's National Championship to be held in Bengaluru from September 23.

As many as 34 HI member units have confirmed their participation in the 10-day long Championship, which will be played on a league cum knockout basis.

The inaugural match shall be played between Chhattisgarh and Arunachal Pradesh in Pool C on September 23.

HI selectors and government observer will keep a watch at the players performance to select the probables for the next national coaching camp ahead of the Champions Trophy in Melbourne from December 1 and the 2nd Asian Champions Trophy in Doha, Qatar from December 14.

Pool E: Aair India, Indian Railways, Odisha, Bihar Pool F: Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Com. Universities

Pool G: Rajasthan, Assam, Kerala, Manipur Pool H: Nagaland, Tripura, Gujarat, Andaman & Nicobar.
