London: Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio, who played the iconic role of Romeo in Baz Luhrmann's modern day 'Romeo + Juliet', said he was equally

thrilled to be working with the director again in 'The Great Gatsby' after a decade.

DiCaprio, 39, said Luhrmann's enthusiasm inspires him to give out his best, reported Contactmusic.

"I've known Baz ever since we started rehearsals for 'Romeo + Juliet'. I've always been inspired by his enthusiasm. He's not afraid to flip it on its side and reinvent the genre, yet at the same time retain the sort of intimate power of the words of the great powers," he said.

The 'Django Unchained' star also praised Luhrmann for his ability to take historic novels and make it more contemporary.

"Baz also infused hip-hop and all kinds of other different elements to connect with a modern day audience."
