Palm Harbour, Florida: After making his first cut of the season, Arjun Atwal played his maiden bogey-free round of 2012 as he carded a four-under 67 on the third day of the Transitions Championships.
Atwal's total is now five-under 208, which helped him move up to tied 28th up from 55th after the second round. There were four birdies from Atwal, three on the front nine and one on the back nine.
Retief Goosen fired a six-under 65 to move to 11-under and tie for the lead with Jim Furyk (66), and the duo was one ahead of Korean Bae Sang-moon and Jason Dufner (71), who are at 10-under.
Atwal began the day with a birdie on the first. A 20-footer on the sixth indicated that things were indeed going Atwal's way and that was followed by a 40-footer on ninth and his final birdie was 17 feet on the 17th to round off a fine day.
Stewart Cink had a hole-in-one on the par-three eighth hole but he was still only 65th with a third-round 72.
