A senior scientist at ISRO Balamanikyavelu was injured in a road accident on the outskirts of Dhone town on Sunday.
According to police, the car in which the scientist was travelling collided with a lorry coming from the opposite direction on National Highway 44 at Dhone town crossroads.
The scientist was injured in the mishap and was shifted to Kurnool government general hospital. He was at the wheel when the incident happened and was proceeding to Bengaluru from Hyderabad.
District collector N Sudarshan Reddy and hospital superintendent Dr. A Umamaheswarao rushed to hospital after receiving a phone call from Isro chairman K Radhakrishnan. His condition is said to be stable.
