Jessey Foundation has announced its awards in various fields for 2011. The award committee headed by cartoonist Yesudasan has selected Mohan Lal as the best actor for his role in the film ‘Pranayam’.
Bhavana has been adjudged the best actress for her role in the film ‘Doctor Love’.
Priyadarsan who directed ‘Arabiyum Ottakavum P Madhavan Nayarum’ is the best director.
Vijayaraghavan (Salt n Pepper) is the best supporting actor while Zeenath (Vellaripravinte Changathi) is the best supporting actress. Sudeep Kumar and Resmi Satheesh have won the award for the best singers.
Seven personalities will be honoured at a function to be held at the Ernakulam Town Hall on August 17.
They include noted film directors Bharathi Raja and John Shankaramangalam, film producer T Mohammed Bapu, Kathakali maestro Kalamandalam Gopi, and Kochouseph Chittilappilly.
Hareesh Daniel, son of the late filmmaker J C Daniel and Saju Chelangad, son of the late film historian Chelangad Gopalakrishnan will also be feted at the function.
