THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Cyber Police on Sunday arrested a person who has been constantly pestering women through mobile phone calls. The arrested man has been identified as Saleesh Sunny, 27, of Pandalam.  The police said that Saleesh was a serial offender who befriended women through phone calls and later blackmailed them. He obtained the mobile phone numbers of women by random number dialling method. Several women had fallen into the trap set by Saleesh, who could speak fluent English. He was confident that he would never be caught as he was using a SIM card that was purchased using the address proof of one of his victims.  The women, who complained against his pestering, had to suffer his verbal abuse over phone. He even challenged the police officials who contacted him based on the complaint filed by a woman that they could not lay hands on him. The cyber police, who tracked his phone number, email ID and social networking website profiles, finally found out his house at Pandalam and took him into custody.  The police also said that Saleesh, who had several mobile phones and SIM cards, used a dedicated mobile phone to indulge in his criminal activities. Over 200 women were either pestered or trapped by his fraudulent calls, said the police.
