HYDERABAD: A seminar on 'Save united Andhra Pradesh' seminar, organised by the Visalandhra Maha Sabha at the Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram here on Thursday, was marred by a protest by a section of reporters covering the event and the halfhour disruption came to an end at police intervention.
The Visalandhra Mahasabha, led by Parakala Prabhakar, also felicitated some freedom fighters at the event. One of the speakers, freedom fighter Narra Madhava Rao, said that even as a number of leaders from the Telangana region occupied the chief minister's post they failed to develop villages in the region. Commenting on the current situation in the city, he said the TRS chief was extorting money in the name of Telangana movement. "Do we have to take permission from KCR if we want to live in Hyderabad?'' he asked.
