Mid-term meet of ISG on May 28

BHUBANESWAR: With focus on prevention and management of enteric infections, the Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISG) and Kalinga Gastroenterology Foundation are set to jointly host the World Digestive Health Day and Mid-Term Conference of ISG here on Saturday. The two-day conference would be attended by over 250 doctors of the country. Renowned expert on enteric diseases Prof VI Mathan will inaugurate it.The event also includes the Indian Association for Study of Liver (INASL) Taskforce meeting on formulation of guidelines and treatment strategies for Hepatitis B virus infections among the Indian population, organising secretary Dr Haribhakti Seba Das said.Among others, Prof BS Ramakrishna of the World Gastroenterology Organisation WDHD Committee, ISG President Prof Ashok Chacko, Secretary Prof. SP Misra, Secretary, INASL, Prof. S.P. Singh and Prof. SK Acharya from AIIMS would take part, Organising chairman Dr CR Panda said.
