Mum blasts, Israel says terrorist mainly targeting Jews

Mumbai: The Israeli government has said that it believes the terrorists specifically targeted Jewish and Israeli people. Nariman House in Mumbai is the headquarters of a Jewish religious group and is also known as Chabad House.

A Rabbi and his wife are believed to be inside the building and may have been held hostage by the terrorists.

"They chose to include among all the other sites a specifically Jewish and Israeli congregation. And that should come as no surprise if the reports are confirmed that this has been perpetrated by an extremist Islamic organization," says Yigal Palmor from Israeli Foreign Ministry.
