Naveen to visit Koraput Sunday

JEYPORE: Security has been beefed up in Koraput district ahead of the visit of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s visit on Sunday. Naveen is likely to visit different areas of Jeypore, Koraput and Sunabeda and attend public welfare programmes of revenue and animal husbandry departments during his whirlwind tour.Senior police officials, including  DIG and SP of Koraput, reviewed the security situation on Saturday after intelligence reported presence of top cadre Maoists of Orissa, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh in the Red Corridor following the recent withdrawal of cases from Maoists by the State Government. About 3,000 strong police force would be positioned at different for the CM’s security the entire day, sources added.
