HYDERABAD: Planning to add a few more exquisite pieces of silk to your wardrobe? Then vibrant colors and attractive patterns welcome you at the Silk Fab, a national level exhibition-cum-sale of exquisite silk products at Classic Garden, Secunderabad. The cynosure of the show is Dastkar Hastkala Vividhalaxi Audyogik Sahakari Mandali, Ahmedabad, priced in the range of `2,000 to `25,000. An exhibition-cum-sale is organised by National Handloom Development Corporation Ltd was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Textiles, Panabaaka Lakshmi.The striking colours and mastery over the creation of floral designs were the hallmarks of the artisans from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and some from Andhra Pradesh who showcased their talent. “The art of handloom weaving is very old and spread all over the country, it has traditional values attached to it, So we held this exhibition mainly to promote the weavers from all over the country,” says MD Baweja of NHDC.  With a total of 110 stalls, there is sure to be something to suit everyone’s sense of style here. From Kashmir’s pashmina, Chanderi silk and Banarasi silk to Tassar, Kosa, Kantha, Tangai, Chanderi, Maheswari, Paithani, Sambalpur, Jamdani, Jamawar and Madhubani prints. With the wide price range of `1,500 to `25,000, it offers an array of choices for customers to pick from. The expo is on till October 8.
