News briefs: Sacked teachers protest against school authorities

The nine teachers, whose services were terminated from the CBSE-affiliated Jawahar Lal Nehru Senior Secondary School, staged protest demonstration against the school administration.

The teachers have filed a petition with the district education department and the CBSE regional office urging them to look into the matter.

The teachers were handed termination letters without any prior notice. The teachers alleged that the school authorities had leveled false charges against them.

Ranchi: Last date for admission announced by RU

The last dates of admission in professional, technical and vocational courses have been announced by the institutions.

The last date of admission in BA, BSc, BCom, and all undergraduate professional courses in Ranchi University is July 31.

The last date for admission in post graduation courses is August 19. Classes for undergraduate courses are expected to begin from August 1 while that of post graduation is from August 22.

Private institutes like BIT Mesra have however,  have set up there different criteria for admissions.
