Nityasri, Shobhana to perform at Palace

MYSORE: The Cultural Sub -Committee of Mysore Dasara-2011 has announced the prestigious palace music programmes which will commence from September 28. The event will start with Chandamaddale by Srinivasa Rao and team, Mysore. Followed by this, Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda will inaugurate the programme at 6 pm and Sarod maestro Pandit Rajeev Taranath will perform. Renowned musicians like Usha Mangeshkar, Pankaj Udhas, Dagar Brothers and Shobahana and troupe from Chennai will enthuse the audience from September 29 to October 4.Veeragase by Kiralu Mahesh, folk songs by P K Rajashekhar; Bharatanatyam by Devayani, New Delhi; Jugalbandi by Radhika Nandakumar, Mysore; are also planned at the Mysore Palace premises.On all the days of Navaratri, cultural events will be held at Jaganmohan Palace from September 28. The cultural programmes will  commence at 5.30 pm and  conclude at 9.30 pm.
