No exodus of Congress MLAs to NCP: Siddu

BANGALORE: Dismissing reports about several Congress legislators planning to join the Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party in the state, Leader of Opposition in Assembly Siddaramaiah claimed that all party MLAs are united.“Reports appearing in the media are concocted and baseless. I have spoken to all the MLAs whose names had appeared in the media; they have stoutly denied the allegations,” he said, adding that all party legislators are committed to the party’s principles and values.The leader of Opposition in the Assembly was addressing the media after holding a meeting of party legislators here on Thursday. Siddaramaiah said that the CLP meeting was convened to introduce the party’s candidate for the December 22 byelections to the lone seat for the Legislative Council. He, however, refused to divulge further details on the issue.
