BANGALORE: Malleswaram MLA Dr C N Ashwathnarayan has claimed that there are no bogus bills for works which are not implemented in his constituency.Explaining the difference between division and constituency in a press meet, the MLA said that Malleswaram Assembly Constituency has seven wards where Malleswaram division has 12 to 13 wards. Everyone is blaming the Rs 1,539 crore bogus bills scam on Malleswaram constituency. This is misleading the public.” He said that its been reported that Rs 497 crore has been sanctioned to Malleswaram constituency. “It is not true. Since 2008, Rs 235 crore has been sanctioned to the constituency. I and seven councillors in my constituency have written letters to the commissioner to clarify the difference,” he said.He further said his constituency is clean from scam. All the executed works have been documented. There is no question of bogus bills. “After the completion of works, the Civil Aid Techno Clincic Private, which is a third party agency checked the quality of the works done,” he added.
