No-confidence motion defeated

The no-confidence motion against the Thiruvalla Municipality chairperson Linda Thomas was defeated on Wednesday. UDF and BJP councillors abstained from the the no-confidence motion. Thirteen LDF members voted in support of the motion. Twenty votes were required for passing the motion.

Municipal regional joint director S Vijay Kumar controlled the discussion and the voting on the motion. The no-confidence motion against the vice-chairman will be discussed on Thursday.
