Odisha Police Academy gets new boss

The State Government on Saturday posted 1981 batch IPS officer V Thiagrajan as the new Director of Biju Patnaik State Police Academy (BPSPA).

Thiagarajan, Additional Director-General of Police, was heading the Training Wing. Effecting a mini-reshuffle, the Government also posted Pranabindu Acharya as IG, Home Guard and Fire Services.

The 1989 batch officer was recently posted as IG (Crime Branch). 1990 batch officer YB Khurania has been posted as IG (Crime Branch) now.

The Government also created two Director posts for State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB) and State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL). While 1988 batch officer M Akhaya was posted as Director of State Crime Records Bureau, 1989 batch officer SM Narvane as Director SFSL.

The Government also transferred and posted Ritu Arora to BPSPA, while 1997 batch  Ashit Panigrahi is the new DIG (Modernisation).
