At least 45 passengers were killed and 150 severely injured on Sunday when 14 coaches of the ill-fated Indore-Patna express train derailed near Pukhrayan area in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur Dehat district.

The cause of the mishap, which occurred around 3 am in Pukhrayan, about 100 km from Kanpur, was not immediately clear.
Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu ordered a probe into the accident and said the “guilty won’t be spared”.
Rescue operations by the Army and NDRF teams were underway.
