New Delhi: Maharashtra strongman and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar was admitted to Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre in Delhi on Tuesday evening after he complained of uneasiness.

He was admitted to the same hospital on November 10 and was discharged 10 days later. Pawar had undergone an angioplasty to clear a clogged artery at that time.
According to sources, Pawar complained of uneasiness when he was waiting at the Indira Gandhi Airport to catch a flight for Chennai. The 66-year-old president of the Nationalist Congress Party was immediately rushed to the hospital from the airport.
"His condition is fine. He had come for a routine checkup," Escorts Executive Director Dr Naresh Trehan told PTI. He was moved to the hospital with high blood pressure.
Pawar, who is also the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, celebrated his 66th birthday on December 12.
