Power holiday plan for industries out

BANGALORE: The Bangalore Electricity and Supply Company (BESCOM), which decided to stagger the power supply, on Wednesday tabulated power holidays for various industrial zones and sent the timetable to industrial associations for their concurrence.State Energy Minister Shobha Karandlaje, told Express from New Delhi, that the State Government is doing everything possible to tide over the power crisis and expressed hope that the Union Government would respond positively to the state’s request for supplying more power from the central grid.“If the coal supply to RTPS resumes, then it would not be difficult.I am here to persuade the Union ministers to look into the matter and take steps to mitigate the hardship,” she added.Meanwhile, KASSIA President Prakash Raikar told Express that the time table for power holiday, tabulated by the BESCOM, will be discussed in the emergency meeting of the office-bearers and concurrence would be given by Thursday evening.“We have agreed in principle for power holidays.The time table given by BESCOM is more or less acceptable to us.If we feel that there is any need for minor change, we will suggest and give our concurrence,” he said, and added, other industrial associations would give suggestions to the timetable.ON THE CARDSMONDAY:Peenya I, II, III and IV stages, GKW Layout, Brindavan Layout, Mahalakshmi Layout, Nandini Layout, FFI, NTTF Road, ABB complex, CMTI area, Rajajinagar Industrial Estate and Area, Kamakshipalya, Byraveshwara Industrial Layout.TUESDAY: EPIP, Shantiniketan ITI, Kadugodi, NGEF, R R Nagar Industrial Area, Kumbalgodu Industrial area, parts of Kamakshipalya and Sunkadakatte.WEDNESDAY: Hoodi, Bagmane, Brigade Industrial Area, Kumbalgodu, Bidadi, Toyota, Mahadevapura and Bidadi Industrial Area.THURSDAY: Bommasandra all stages, Attibele, Anekal and Jigani.FRIDAY: Yelahanka, KHB, parts of Rajajinagar Industrial Area, Hoskote, Abbigere, Dobbaspet and Nelamangala.SATURDAY: All PSUs, ITBI units, Bosch EHT, Electronics City I and II, Velankani industrial unit, Malgudi Industrial Area, Bagmane Lake View, KMF and prime projects.SUNDAY: All EHT, all PSUs, Electronics city and industrial area
