Mumbai: Actress Priyanka Chopra has signed a landmark mega three-film deal with UTV Motion Pictures, becoming the first female actor in the Hindi film industry to do so.
"I am very excited about my association with UTV. This association presents an amazing opportunity for me to work in a challenging, creative environment with some of the best minds in the industry. I am looking forward to creating celluloid magic together," said Priyanka in a press release on Friday.
The deal, which will span over four years, allows the actress to participate in the creative areas of the films. She will be involved in brainstorming process of the films including the shortlisting of scripts and genres.
Senior Vice-President (Creative and Projects), UTV Motion Pictures, Ram Mirchandani, is full of praise for the actress who saw a meteoric rise in filmdom in a short span of time.
"We are very proud to be associated with Priyanka. Her achievements, in a relatively short span of time, are remarkable. She is undoubtedly the reigning star on celluloid today and is recognised as one of the most 'bankable' stars that we have,” he said.
"Her ability to straddle a variety of roles is reflective of her immense talent. We are very excited about this partnership and look forward to our long-term relationship with Priyanka," Mirchandani added.
The deal surely puts Priyanka, who has two recent big hits - Krrish and Don in her kitty, on the highest pedestal. Her forthcoming ventures are Drona and Love Story 2050.
