KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Friday directed the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) to conduct an inquiry into the allegations regarding a liaison officer obstructing darshan at Sabarimala. The Devaswom Bench passed the order while considering a petition filed by E Krishnakumar, vice-president, Yuva Morcha.  The petitioner alleged that neither the government nor the TDB has appointed such a liaison officer at Sabarimala for controlling the devotees. The petitioner further submitted that the officer has been favouring a section of VIP devotees. To which the court held that the matter should be examined.Meanwhile, the court directed the authorities to put up boards mentioning the names and details of hotels at Sannidhanam, Pampa, Triveni and the traditional trekking path. The court issued the directive while considering a report submitted by Sabarimala Special Commissioner T Gopalakrishna Pillai.  The court had earlier directed the authorities to curb the tendency of commercialisation in Sabarimala. The court also directed to put up boards in various languages.
