Rahul accepts Bilawal's invite to visit Pakistan
Congress party general secretary Rahul Gandhi was invited to visit Pakistan by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Islamabad: India's ruling Congress party general secretary Rahul Gandhi was invited to visit Pakistan by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the son of President Asif Ali Zardari, and has accepted the invite, it was reported on Sunday.

Bilawal, 24, the Pakistan Peoples Party chairman, has accompanied his father on his day-long trip to India where they were invited for lunch at Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's residence in New Delhi.

The News International reported from New Delhi that Bilawal, who was seated next to Rahul Gandhi at the lunch at 7, Race Course Road, invited the 41-year-old Indian leader to visit Pakistan and the latter accepted the invitation.

Bilawal, born Sep 21, 1988, is the eldest child and only son of late former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

After the lunch, Zardari and his entourage left for Ajmer in the Indian state of Rajasthan to offer prayers at the shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti.

A black belt in taekwondo, he is currently studying history at Christ Church, the same Oxford University college that his grandfather Zulfiqar Bhutto attended. His mother was a graduate of the same university, said yet another Facebook page.

Bilawal was appointed chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party Dec 30, 2007, days after his mother's assassination.
