Day temperatures stood below normal in Allahabad, Faizabad, Gorakhpur, Allahabad, Kanpur, Lucknow and Bareilly divisions, while it was normal in other areas, it said. Highest maximum temperature was recorded in Banda at 42.2 degrees Celsius.
According to Met forecast, rain or thundershowers may occur at isolated places over Eastern Uttar Pradesh .
