Remand extended in Jagan, other cases

CBI court principal special judge U Durga Prasad Rao on Tuesday extended judicial remand of the accused in cases of Obulapuram mining lease and Emmar Properties-APIIC  township scams, and assets of Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy till October 25.

Minister for roads and buildings Dharmana Prasada Rao, who was supposed to appear in the court, filed a petition seeking exemption  as his mother passed away recently and he is performing some rites and the court accepted his plea.

Gali Janardhan Reddy,  BV Srinivas Reddy, Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, BP Acharya, KV Brahmananda Reddy, Nimmagadda Prasad and Sunil Reddy appeared before the principal special judge through video-linkage from the prison where they are lodged.
