BANGALORE: Reacting on the High Court’s verdict on the indictment of B S Yeddyurappa by the Lokayukta report on illegal mining, Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah said that the former has not been absolved of all charges.“Nowhere does the verdict mention about Yeddyurappa being named innocent. He cannot become the chief minister again,” he said, adding that the verdict is open for appeal in the Supreme Court.Siddaramaiah also added that the former CM is facing other charges which are being heard by the Lokayukta court. He opined that the BJP national leadership would have to face embarrassment again if Yeddyurappa were to be reinstated as CM.Refusing to comment on the merit of the High Court verdict, KPCC president Dr G Parameshwar said that it has cast a shadow on the others indicted by the report.“Yeddyurappa may find it difficult to stage a comeback in state politics,” he said.
