Bihar: Ten coaches of the Guwahati-Delhi Sampark Kranti Express derailed in Mokama district of Bihar at around 0630 hrs (IST) on Sunday morning.
The bogies jumped off the track between Barahia and Rampur Dumra stations under Danapur division of the East Central Railway (ECR).
No casualties have been reported.
The ECR said that the reason for the mishap is yet to be ascertained.
Mokama is nearly 40 km from the state capital Patna.
Following the derailment, routes of more than 40 Patna-bound trains have been diverted. All trains to Kolkata are being sent via Gaya instead of Patna.
Paramilitary and medical teams have been rushed to the spot and local volunteers have swung into action.
ECR general manager K C Jena and other officials have rushed to the spot.
