Sasikala blames Karunanidhi

BANGALORE: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s estranged aide Sasikala Natarajan told the Special Court hearing the disproportionate assets case against them that former TN chief minister and DMK president M Karunanidhi was behind filing of the case against Jayalalithaa.Deposing before the court here on Wednesday, Sasikala said, “The police filed the case exaggerating the value of properties at the instance of Karunanidhi. They did that to please him. They also included the value of an incomplete building.“Meanwhile, Assistant Special Public Prosecutor Sandesh Chowta objected to her reading from prepared notes, and that led to heated arguments between Chowta and Sasikala’s counsel C Manishankhar.The court adjourned the matter for further hearing till Thursday.
