Scantily-clad women an office nuisance: survey

London: Young women in Britain dress provocatively during summer and cause problems for their male colleagues, a survey has found. Nearly a third of men among 1,200 surveyed said they were repeatedly distracted by scantily-clad female colleagues wafting across the office.

When it comes to dressing for work in the summer, both men and women let their standards slip. But the fairer sex seems to be getting away with more freedom - and less clothes.

Over half of those surveyed for comparison website uSwitchforbusiness say women dress more inappropriately for work in the summer. Just three in 10 say the same of men, the Daily Express reported.

As for dress code, four in 10 employees feel that women get a better deal, while just 11 percent claim the dress code is fairer on men.

Despite enjoying greater leniency, women are the sauciest at flashing the flesh, the survey found.

See-through tops are the biggest summertime "no no" for female workers, while flip-flops get the biggest thumbs down for men (74 per cent).

Fifteen percent of the people think it to be inappropriate for a man to remove his tie in office in the summer. Almost half of employees have felt embarrassed by a colleague dressing sexily. Almost three in 10 workers are worried that a colleague's dress sense reflects badly on the business.
