Seize endosulfan if sold or used: P Mohanan

THIRUVANATHAPURAM: The State Government has issued orders to seize endosulfan if found being sold or used anywhere in the state, Agriculture Minister K P Mohanan said here on Monday.
In his first interaction with the media after taking charge, he said that the Cabinet had already decided to ban the production and sale of the pesticide and the necessary orders had been issued on Monday.He said that along with the organic farming policy which was brought in by the previous LDF Government, a comprehensive organic pesticide policy was also required.He said that in the past few years, the agriculture productivity was on the rise, but what raises concern was the ineffective marketing of the agricultural produces.
