Mumbai: With Sheena Bora murder mystery becoming murkier with each passing day, the police will take Indrani Mukerjea, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and her driver to Raigad to recreate the crime scene.
The police said that Khanna and Indrani are being evasive and not cooperating during interrogation.
After police found human skeletal remains on Friday, they are likely to conduct skull super-imposition technique to establish that the recovered skeletal remains in Raigad are of Sheena.
Meanwhile, sources said that Maharashtra Director General of Police has ordered an enquiry against the then SP Raigad RD Shinde for not filing an FIR when the body was found in 2012.
Raigad Superintendent of Police Suvez Haque will conduct separate enquiry against other three officers.
Haque said, "We have submitted all our reports to our seniors. Yesterday I have received an order from the Inspector General and we are conducting an enquiry that will be based on all the documentation that is available at this moment and after that we will submit a report. Finally we will be able to know who were all those persons who took these decisions. At this moment it is difficult to say. Whatever documents are available will be analysed. We have certain documents which were there in our possession and we have given this to the Mumbai police and we've kept certified copies with us."
Earlier, the police claimed to have recovered the car in which Sheena was allegedly murdered in 2012. The car, sources said was sold off to a dealer at a cheap price. Police have also asked telecom service providers for the call records between 2012-2015 of all the three accused in the murder case.
Though Sheena, the daughter of high-profile media professional Indrani Mukerjea, was allegedly murdered in 2012 and her body disposed of in Raigad district, the crime came to light only recently.
The police have arrested Indrani, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna, and driver Shyam Rai in the case. Khanna has already confessed to his complicity in the crime.
