BANGALORE: What goes into making a good cocktail? Vodka for the base, with a splash of orange juice, twist of lime and topped up with lots of ice. Its the perfect blend. However Spiga had more to offer, than just exotic cocktails. Spoilt a venture that brings great designers from all over India to exhibit there talent and in partners with Spiga had Bangalore’s first Pop-up Store called Spoilt @ Spiga, on November 25 and 26.Anshu Juneja one of the founders of Spoilt said “ A pop store is a store where u get few of the best designer wears in a place where one would least expect it. We usually keep our stores at malls, restaurants and as you can see this time it was at Spiga, a pub. People here carry their alcohol and browse through the store. By this one need not have to detour for shopping, we are bringing the shops to them.” The pop up store had over 15 stalls from different parts of India like Delhi, Kolkata and our very own Bangalore. The store had a wide collection of trendy designer dresses, accessories, jewellery, menswear, shoes, bags and a lot more to satisfy your desire. Diksha one of the designers said, “This pop up store is such a good venture. It gives equal platform for both young and experienced designers to showcase their talent.” She added by saying, “There is a good a response from the crowd of Bangalore, my brand Kisses has caught a lot of attention by the youth.” Most of the designers, had enough collection only to give the costumers an idea of their work. The costumers could place an order and custom make their order based on their likings and size. Seema Boyd a designer said, “There has been good return from people. I have taken down many orders. I always felt Bangalore teens are more open to western collection than Indian designs. To my surprise most of the orders I took down was for Indian designs. The most popular among them was the silk chandi and moroccan work. I am looking forward to sell more of my designs to the crowd of Bangalore in the near future.”
