With social media fast becoming a platform for publicity, it is seen as a decider of the film's fate even before its release. The latest being the trailer of the film, 'Simple Agi Ondhu Love Story', which has caught all the attention. What was considered a simple trailer by director, Suni has become a rage among the Kannada viewers with the teaser having crossed more than 1 lakh hits in 10 days.
"The trailer was done just to get the output from my new Red Epic-X camera. It was a theme set for presenting my film. I had no idea about it until I heard from our graphic designer, Sachin, who had uploaded the video. We have got a terrific record of more than one lakh hits in a span of ten days," says the director, whose trailer has been well received.
The trailer which is now quite popular on Youtube is an experimental film of three seasons - summer, rain and winter. "I have also taken two formulas - 'opposite poles attract' and 'for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction'," explains Suni whose new concept is the screenplay inspired by the old school of drama, which has been adapted in this trailer.
The director plans to come out with another teaser soon. "My first trailer was about summer season. I will release the second trailer of the rainy season as I start shoot with the winter season," said Suni.
Suni who worked as an assistant director with Dinesh Babu will debut with 'Simple Agi Ondhu Love Story', "The trailer is our team's effort with cinematographer Manohar Joshi, designer Sachin and music composer BT Bharath Kumar," says Suni, whose film will be more or less a poetic love story.
The popularity of 'Simple Agi Ondhu Love Story' teaser has given some assurance to the director that the film will get a good opening. "My producers and financiers are safe as they are sure they will get the audience," says Suni.
Apparently the teaser is also giving feelers of 'Mungaru Male', a blockbuster of yesteryears directed by Yograj Bhat. "Yes, most of them are comparing the film with 'Mungaru Male', which saw only rain. But this love story will see three different shades," he explains.
