BHUBANESWAR: The State Government has decided to open a special cell to expedite disposal of land-related cases in Kandhamal district. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reviewed the progress in the implementation of Kandhamal package at a high-level meeting here on Monday. It was decided that two lawyers will be appointed for the purpose. The Chief Minister directed the Revenue Department to initiate steps in this regard. Camp courts will be held to sensitise employees of the Revenue Department for the implementation of Regulation 2(56) for tribal land transfer. It was decided that steps will be taken to speed up scrutiny of fake caste certificate cases barring the ones pending in the courts. Naveen directed dismissal of government employees found guilty of producing fake caste certificates for getting jobs. The Chief Minister directed the Health Department to take steps for improving health-related infrastructure in the district and fill up all the vacant doctor and para-medic posts. Besides, steps will also taken to provide pipe water to all hospitals in the district in the next three months. It was decided that an open butterfly park will be set up at Phulbani. Two lakh saplings will also be produced from the mega nursery in the district headquarters town. Vacant posts in the Horticulture Training Centre will also be filled up.  The construction of the B.Ed college will be completed within a year and teachers appointed by August. Naveen also directed the district administration to complete construction of two CT schools in six months.   Teaching will be started from the ITI from the next academic year. The State Government has released ` 12 crore for construction of polytechnic building which will be completed in 18 months. It was decided that 50 more SC girls hostels will be constructed in the district next year. While 10,759 houses were sanctioned under the Mo Kudia scheme, construction of 5,943 units has been completed by July 15. Pension has been sanctioned for 58,998 persons under the Madhubabu pension yojana.
