Whether it is about making a cutting remark against someone, pulling someone down or taking a jab at rivals, celebrities know Twitter is where they can easily put forth their grievances and settle a score. While it is fine to rebuke other celebrities, many also end up using abusive language to give vent to their angst.
The fact that Sherlyn Chopra was the first Indian celebrity to be banned by Twitter from sharing images which the concerned authorities thought were provocative enough to stir controversies is enough to explain why she should bid adieu to the microblogging site.

Chetan Bhagat: The popular novelist received flak from Tweeple after he used the imagery of rape to explain the rupee’s free fall. ’The rupee is asking, is there no punishment for my rapists,’ Bhagat had tweeted, inviting fuming reactions from many on Twitter.
Poonam Pandey: Controversy queen Poonam Pandey is popular for posting pretty weird stuff on Twitter. Besides being rebuked by controversial writer Taslima Nasreen for her non-sensical tweet ’attitude is like underwear’, Poonam also made headlines when she lashed out at Chitrangada Singh, who had tweeted, ’How do you compete with Poonam Pandey, when she is ready to strip for kabbadi matches? Though I have never met Poonam and no prsnl agenda, but guess she does her bathroom rituals everyday and in sometimes that involves striping’. Poonam was quick to take to Twitter to say, ’Its so funny how the people who know the least about you, have the most to say. Jealousy: That’s what makes a b*tch talk.’
Rozlyn Khan: If there is anybody who can give tough competition to Poonam Pandey and Sherlyn Chopra, it has to be Rozlyn Khan. The model-turned-actor has used Twitter to post nude photos to show her support to MS Dhoni and his team Chennai Super Kings.
Since she grabs a lot more attention for controversial tweets than her work, we think quitting Twitter will help her focus on her projects and do better things in life.
Ram Gopal Varma: He is adept at stirring controversies by tweeting controversial messages. While tweeting about his film Mausam’s premiere, Shahid wrote, ’Premier in the evening my girlgand deciding what I should wear :).’
