Chakwal, (Pakistan): Fifteen hours after a suicide attack in capital Islamabad, terror hit a mosque in Chakwal, 100 kilometers south of Islamabad on Sunday afternoon. A 15 year-old, strapped with bombs, walked into a Shia mosque teeming with 2,000 devotees. Eyewitnesses say he was stopped at the gate by guards when he tried to run into the crowd but he triggered the bomb, killing over 30 and injuring over 100 people.

The attack was the third in 24 hours. On Saturday, a suicide bomber had struck a paramilitary camp in the heart of Islamabad, killing eight security personnel and injuring five. Another attack in the North Waziristan tribal agency had kiled 17 civilians. The rising incidents of terror attacks have raised fresh fears of the nuclear Pakistan that is rapidly getting Talibanised and the government too is aware of the threat

As terror attacks swell across the border, India's External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee says that for peace in the region, Pakistan needs to deal with terror firmly.

Mukherjee: said, “As a neighbour we want that all our nieghbors should develop, should be at peace and stable. This will help us also - it is in the regional interest and interest of Pakistan itself. They must deal firmly with all terrorist outfits.”

The Pakistani Taliban have claimed responsibility for the Sunday attack on the Shia mosque, saying it is in response to mounting American drone attacks.
