Lucknow: More and more people have come out on streets in support of Anna Hazare with many taking out rallies, staging demonstrations, and observing fast in different parts of Uttar Pradesh.
School and college students sat on dharna at the GPO and Jhulelal Park here expressing solidarity with the Anna while social activists took out candlelight marches and rallies on two-wheelers raising impromptu slogans in his favour.
In Bahraich activists of India Against Corruption submitted a 15 foot long memorandum addressed to the President.
Pro-Anna stir were held in Mau and Ballia with people coming out on roads with national flags and raising anti-corruption slogans.
Similarly, people in Ballia started hunger strike in support of Anna Hazare and his campaign.
Meanwhile, hundreds of people today took out rallies and candlelight marches in support of the Gandhian and his campaign against corruption in Jammu.
Activists of Kranti Dal carrying placards and pictures of Anna Hazare, took out a rally in Jammu while members of fraternity of Jammu Computer Dealers Association (JCDA) led by its President, Arvind Koul took out a candle light march in Bikram Chowk area of the city.
"We fully support Anna and his demands. We want all MPs in Parliament to come together and pass the Jan Lokpal bill", President, Kranti Dal, Anan Sharma said.
School children in Samba also took out a march in his support.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena and BJP took out protest rallies in support of Anna in Kahua town and Bahu Fort area in Jammu.
