The Olympic Council of Asia on Wednesday said Khurshed Beknazarov failed a test on September 14, five days before the opening ceremony. The soccer competition kicked off before the games were officially opened.
The OCA said Beknazarov has been disqualified from the games and the findings would be forwarded to football world governing body FIFA and to the World Anti-Doping Agency.
Organisers planned to conduct 1,920 doping tests during the Incheon Games, an increase on the 1,500 collected at the 2010 Games at Guangzhou, China.
