The trend of dedicating temples to actors and politicians is quite popular in Tamil Nadu. It seems like it is catching up in Telugu-speaking states as well. Recently, a fan built a temple and dedicated it to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh. Previously, in 2016, K Chandrashekar Rao also had a temple dedicated to him in Mancherial district. Now, it looks like Revanth Reddy, Chief Minister of Telangana, is all set to get a temple dedicated to him. One of his fans, a man named Medi Santhosh, decided to construct a temple to honour the CM. It will be built in Vanipakala village of Chityala Mandal, located in the Suryapet district in Telangana. As per reports, the Bhumi Puja is said to be held on March 19. The fan is building the temple with his funds and said that he is dedicating the temple to the CM as he has been fulfilling people’s wishes and solving the problems just like God.
Medi Santhosh has received support from Congress party leaders and supporters in his work. He is a State President of the Reddy Fans Association. He stated that preparations are underway to lay the foundation stone for the temple on March 19. The groundbreaking ceremony will be led by Bhuvanigiri MP ticket aspirant, Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy. This has led to many discussions in the Nalgonda district.
Medi believes that Revanth Reddy secured a great victory in the elections after he took over the reins as CM of Telangana. Due to his contributions to the public welfare, the fan decided to build him a temple in his native place with Rs 3 lakh funds. Reportedly, the laying of the foundation stone will be held in the presence of three ministers and the construction of the temple will conclude in two months. He believes that he is fortunate to build a temple for the CM who is always finding solutions for his people.
