MLA, Jaibharath Nagar, K J George praised the foundation that it is doing a yeoman service to the students below poverty line in the locality. He expressed happiness that the Foundation is the first to start the mid-meal scheme for the students in association with the Government. The Foundation also finances the education of school children in English medium secondary schools or schools with better educational facilities once they finish 7th standard.
Kausalya Thirupuvanam said, “The deplorable state of the average Indian child became obvious during my first travel abroad.
Compared with the various opportunities that are heaped on children from middle income families, children from disadvantaged families in India are poor in more than one sense of the term.
This in turn posed a compelling question.
How can children deprived of even basic necessities like food, clothing, shelter and even parental care survive in this world… much less learn their abc’s?”
She added, “What future do such children have and how can this situation be alleviated? This instilled in me a conviction that some efforts need to be started to improve the situation of these children, if only on a small scale.
The generosity of our donors and the work of the Thirupuvanam Foundation have helped make this dream a reality for the children we help today.”
