This Former Karnataka Model Has Been Rescuing Disabled Animals For 24 Years
Usha Suvarna has been involved in the care and rescue of thousands of stray cats and dogs in need. She has spent a lot of time taking care of dogs and helping them.

Stray cats and dogs need as much love as the ones we buy from pet shops. It is our responsibility as humans to take care of those in need, especially the ones who are unable to express their pain and problems. Former model Usha Suvarna from Karnataka has taken the initiative to engage and volunteer in the care of disabled animals, helping them with injuries, food and shelter.

As per the reports of Local18, Usha Suvarna is a 2020 Miss Tulu Nadu second runner-up, who is also an avid animal lover. Although she has been getting numerous opportunities in the entertainment industry, she has chosen to dedicate her time to helping disabled animals.

Local 18 states that she has been working towards the welfare of animals for the last 24 years. According to the reports, in the region of Mangaluru and other districts, dogs and cats lay injured on the streets. So, they are brought to the shelter and are given care and love while a doctor focuses on their treatment. After they are healthy enough, the animals are put up for adoption for the interested or just spend their days under the shelter’s care.

Usha has been involved in the care and rescue of thousands of stray cats and dogs in need. She has spent a lot of time taking care of dogs and helping them in regaining their health. Reports state further that the former model is not alone in this thoughtful venture, as she has received help from several kind donors. The funds that are received are used to buy food and medicines for the animals. The former model’s husband is an employee at a private company, who has been very supportive of her animal-rescuing ventures and social duties.

In the exclusive video shared by Local18, Usha Suvarna is seen cuddling the rescued cats and dogs, going around the shelter to greet each one of them.
