Burdwan, West Bengal: Popular Bengali actor Swastika Mukherjee and three others, including the driver of their vehicle on way to Durgapur, were injured in a head-on collision with a truck on Durgapur Expressway near Saktigarh in Burdwan district.
The other two injured were her make-up person and an officer of a leading industry house, police said. They were taken to a near-by hospital by the locals who had rushed to the spot, the police. All the injured are stated to be out of danger.
Mukherjee, who had acted in a number of Bengali films including critically-acclaimed Janala and Krishnakanter Will, has a string of upcoming releases including Nandini, Abar Byomkesh, Ek Phali Rond and Mach Misti and More, in the coming months.
