Training for Engineering students from June 13

KOCHI: BSNL Ernakulam proposes to conduct in-plant training for engineering students with a view of giving exposure to the live telecommunication equipment deployed in BSNL.This will help engineering students have an overview of various telecommunication technologies widely used in BSNL.The second and third year engineering students of Electronics and Communication, IT, Computer Science and Electrical streams are targeted for the in-plant training. Topics covered in the training include overview of telecommunication network, PCM principles, digital switching, signalling in telecommunication, fibre optic communication technology, optical fibre transmission system and their features, SDH, DWDM, GSM/CDMSA technology, introduction to broadband and intelligent network. The training includes visits to telephone exchange, broadband, GSM, CDMA and OFC installation to have an insight into its working.
