New Delhi: Television actress Juhi Parmar has won the season five of celebrity reality show Bigg Boss. Better known as 'Kumkum', Juhi was competing against Amar Upadhyay, Mahek Chahal, Siddharth Bhardwaj and Akashdeep Saigal.
After surviving on the show for three months, Juhi finally walked away with the prize money of Rs 1 crore. The show was hosted by actors Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan.
Juhi has become the second female Bigg Boss winner. Actress Shweta Tiwari won the Bigg Boss season 4. Mahek grabbed the first runner up title and her friend Siddharth was announced as the second runner-up. Amar got the least votes in the final battle and was the first finalist to step out of the house.
Mahek's boyfriend Danish Khan made the day extremely memorable for her by proposing her for marriage onstage. Mahek said yes to his proposal.
Bigg Boss season 5 started with 13 female contestants and Shakti Kapoor in the house. Amar, Sky and Sid were the wild card entrants on the show. Andrew Symonds, Swami Agnivesh and Yamamotoyama appeared on the show as guests. Other popular Bigg Boss contestants were Pooja Bedi, Pooja Misrra, Vida Samadzai, Sunny Leone and Shonali Nagrani.
Sizzling performances by Sunny Leone, Rakhi Sawant, Malaika Arora Khan added more glamour to the finale. Other eliminated housemates except Pooja Bedi, also performed a medley. Pooja Bedi was asked not to be a part of the finale for some reasons. However, the highlight of the show was Salman and Sanju’s rocking act.
After her eviction, Pooja Misrra accused Salman Khan for favouring Mahek Chahal. Interestingly, when Salman confronted Misrra during the finale she said, "It's great that you raised this point. I have never said anything against you and my statements have been twisted."
Karan Johar and Imran Khan also made a special appearance during the finale to promote their upcoming film ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’.
