BANGALORE: A 30-year-old goldsmith, identified as Mukthar Hussain, was allegedly fired at by unidentified assailants in Halasur Gate police station limits on Sunday night. According to police, three unidentified assailants fired at Hussain, reportedly using a revolver at his house on 6th cross, Kumbarpet and two bullets hit him in the right side of the abdomen area. The police have recovered a bullet from the crime scene. Hussain used to make gold ornaments at his residence and supply them to jewellery stores in the city. Police said that there was no information of the assailants or the intent behind the incident so far. The victim has been admitted to Victoria Hospital and is said to be out of danger, they added. Halsur Gate police have registered a case and further investigations are on.
