Nagpur: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Saturday officially adopted Pachgaon village in Nagpur under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana.
The Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping also launched the development works worth Rs 28 crore in the village and assured the villagers that the place, located around 20 kms from here, will be turned into an ideal village.
He said the village would be provided with all the basic facilities like schools, primary health centre, roads, connectivity to national highways, ambulances, gymnasium for youth, regular water supply and spots ground, wi-fi and veterinary clinic, among other things.
Maharashtra Minister for Education Vinod Tawde, Sanitation Minister Babanrao Lonikar and others were present on the occasion.
