New Delhi: Director Raja, who introduced his brother Ravi, in his first Tamil movie 'Jeyam' (2003), recently said at a college cultural event that he really looked up to the actor for his career growth. “We always had this competition since college days. I was studying in the Film Institute and Ravi was graduating in Visual Communication then. He would always say his course was better than mine,” said Raja.
And if you thought 'Jeyam' was Raja’s first movie, he revealed that it was not true. Raja said, “One can never forget the experience of making his first movie and my first movie was 'Hanuman Junction' in Telugu. It’s a comedy film and it was so good to see audiences laughing it out in theatres. And then, I directed 'Jeyam' and Ravi became a hero overnight,” recalled Raja.
He also said his next film would be announced soon and added that he wanted to secure the success he earned in 'Velayudham'.
